"OnePlus V Fold" and "OnePlus V Flip" are the possible names of the brand's first foldable devices

It has been quite clear for a while that OnePlus works on foldable smartphones, and it seems to be progressing rapidly. According to the regulatory lists, OnePlus is preparing to launch "OnePlus V Fold" and "OnePlus V Flip".

Rumors about the OnePlus foldable have been circulating around for quite some time, with the brand long expected to launch its first foldable phones this year. Things seemed more certain only because Oppo, the company that technically dictates future OnePlus projects, was doubling its capacity. The Oppo Find N2 series debuted at the end of 2022 with the stunning Oppo Find N2, and the Oppo Find N2 Flip which is set to launch in full in the next few weeks. But only one of these phones is scheduled to hit the world stage, and even then it still does not exist in the United States. Instead, OnePlus has always been expected to serve as a conduit for bringing Oppo foldable devices to the US and other markets. The names were first spotted by Mukul Sharma on Twitter, and we've since confirmed that they're still on CNIPA – you can even search for them yourself. Sharma added that internal testing on at least one of these devices is also underway. And there is certainly no coincidence with how these names are chosen. "OnePlus V Fold" and "Samsung Galaxy Z Fold". But so far, we still don't know much about the first folds in OnePlus. There's no real indication of the release date, pricing, or even how it will differ from Oppo's non-software versions. Regardless, as the folding market heats up, we will be interested in seeing these devices hit the market in the coming months.
